The Warm Up Game
$10 Buy-In
13 Players
The game was held in Scott Chisler's garage and slated to start at 7pm. The game started promptly at 7:30 and the theme of the night was hitting the river with one-outers.
I was knocked out early when I thought I could push Kim out with my pocket sevens with a possible straight on the board. She saw through me and took me out with her pocket queens.
Steve Stepp (AKA Scuba Steve, Scott) was on fire and took first place.
1st Steve Stepp $80
2nd Matt Davis $40
3rd Scott Nardi $10

This was a brutal game. The theme continued with the river hitting one outers and miracle cards.
The blinds went up quickly and once we got down to six chips were just passed back and forth with no one going out. It wasn't until the blinds were crazy, around 3000/6000 that players were eliminated. The game was going on forever.
Finally at 5,000/10,000 the perfect storm hit. Keith pushed all-in with AJ, Todd went all-in with AK and I did the same with pocket tens. We had no choice as the blinds were soon to go 10,000/20,000. The flop and turn hit no one. Todd rivered a King and Keith was knocked out on the bubble and putting me in third.
Todd had a commanding chip stack but equalized when a miracle river card came to give Henry a straight. The game went back and forth for a while but with the blinds being so big, Todd's aggression won it.
The game seemed to go on forever as it finished at 2:15am.
Congratulations to Todd for the first ever bracelet winner.
